Who we are
Plinth is a design studio based in Bristol, and sister company to Crack Magazine.
We’ve spent over a decade building Crack’s digital presence. The magazine, the shop, the campaigns, and the identity work around them. We’ve also worked with festivals, charities, labels, and many businesses with nothing to do with culture at all. The common thread is people who care about the details, and want someone else who does too.
How we work
Plinth runs as a small permanent core with a network of collaborators we’ve worked with for years: designers, developers, illustrators, animators, writers, and more. Projects get assembled with the right people for the job. It means you deal with the same group from first conversation to launch, and it keeps our overheads off your invoice.
What we do
Digital: Websites, editorial platforms, ecommerce, content management systems.
Brand: Visual identity, art direction, design systems.
Print: Editorial design, publications, campaigns.
Everything around it: Copywriting, animation, and the boring bits that make the rest work.
Who we’ve worked with
Selected clients include Crack Magazine, Complex, District Magazine, ClassPass, AVA Festival, Krankbrother, Simple Things Festival, the Swiss Design Awards, and Riverford Organic Farmers.
Through our partnership work with Crack, we’ve also delivered projects for Boiler Room x Google, Nike, adidas, Red Bull Music, !K7 Records and Eventbrite.
